COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State will be a part of the 2019 Gavitt Games for the third time in the last four seasons. The games feature Big Ten teams taking on Big East opponents. So far the Buckeyes are 2-0 in the event, including a 69-60 win at Creighton last season. That road victory was one of its more impressive wins of the season and was one of the main reasons why the Buckeyes reached as high as No. 13 in the Associated Press poll at one point prior to conference play. This season Ohio State will host the reigning Big East regular-season champions in Villanova. The two schools only have two prior meetings with the Buckeyes winning the most recent meeting 67-66 in 2003.
