COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State has landed its five-star passing future, as Julian Fleming, the top receiver recruit in the nation from Northeast Pennsylvania, picked the Buckeyes on Friday morning. Fleming joins five-star freshman receiver Garrett Wilson, a star of last year’s class, to give the Buckeyes top targets for years ahead. Fleming had a final five that also included Clemson, Penn State, Alabama and Georgia, though it was the Nittany Lions and Tigers who joined the Buckeyes in recruiting him the hardest. Fleming is the No. 6 overall recruit in the nation according to 247sports.com and is the highest-rated overall recruit to commit to Ohio State out of high school since quarterback Terrelle Pryor in 2008.
