Ohio State closer Andrew Magno was selected in the 15th round (pick No. 442 overall) by the Detroit Tigers in the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft on Wednesday. Magno, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound lefty, had a tremendous season in 2019 for the Buckeyes. He was named MVP of the Big Ten Tournament when he saved all four games that OSU won in the 5-day event. Magno was also the hero of the Buckeyes’ lone win in the NCAA Tourament (a 13-inning affair over McNeese) when he pitched the final 7.2 innings for a win, while giving up just one run. For the season, Magno was 5-3 with 14 saves and a 2.09 ERA. In 64.2 innings, he struck out 75 batters. Magno will likely be offered a signing bonus of $125,000 by the Tigers, and he is the second Buckeye to be drafted so far this year. He could choose to…
