COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s big recruiting weekend got off to a quick start with its 2021 class getting a boost. Four-star receiver Jayden Ballard from Massillon committed to the Buckeyes on Friday. Ballard, who is 6-foot-1.5, 164 pounds, is the No. 22 receiver and No. 125 player in the country according to 247Sports.com’s composite rankings. He also had offers from Maryland, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Penn State among others. Ballard is the third player to commit to Ohio State’s 2021 class. Get to know the rest here. Ohio State offered Ballard after a camp last June following his freshman season. As a sophomore, he helped Massillon get to the OHSAA Division II state championship game, where he and the Tigers fell short against Archbishop Hoban, 42-28.
