The Ohio State Buckeyes are trending heavily in the 247Sports Crystal Ball for one of the nation’s top defensive backs. Four-star safety Lathan Ransom was on campus in Columbus this weekend for an official visit and it has resulted in a wave of Crystal Ball predictions coming in for the Buckeyes over the past couple days. After picking up 10 predictions in the wake of the visit, Ohio State has surged into the Crystal Ball lead for the Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic product. The Buckeyes now lead the way with 85 percent of the predictions, followed by Stanford at eight percent, while one prediction is still undecided. Ohio State is one of five finalists for the 6-foot-0.5, 200-pound Ransom, joining LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Texas. He has now taken official visits to each of those five schools and is expected to announce a decision sometime before his senior season.…
