COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State is still looking to add a running back to its 2020 football recruiting class, and another has listed the Buckeyes among his favorites. Jesuit (Texas) High School’s EJ Smith — who also happens to be the son of NFL Hall of Famer and all-time leading rusher Emmitt Smith — has listed OSU along with Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M and Stanford as his final five schools for consideration. The four-star recruit is rated as the No. 126 overall player and the No. 4 all-purpose back. Smith has made multiple trips to Columbus, with his most recent coming during Ohio State’s 62-39 win over Michigan last season. As a junior, he ran for 890 yards and 12 touchdowns while adding 478 yards receiving with five touchdowns. Though he holds 22 total offers, he has yet to schedule any official visits this summer.
