There is plenty going on with Ohio State football recruiting so let’s get started with what I heard and saw at The Opening. 1) This is the second edition of What I heard, what I saw at The Opening this past week. Today I start with Ohio State head coach Ryan Day getting done exactly what he set out to do. Day wanted to create a family atmosphere at Ohio State. I’ve written before about how so many prospects that visited Ohio State this spring and summer mentioned to me after the visit the family atmosphere at OSU. That continues to happen. But it is not just the recruits talking about it. Ohio State had eight commitments at The Opening Finals and a number of their parents and/or family members were also on hand.
