The Ohio State recruiting roll continues as Saint Louis (Mo.) Trinity Catholic receiver Mookie Cooper has announced a commitment to Ryan Day and his staff. Cooper cut his long list of scholarship offers down to five schools this spring. The five were Ohio State, Illinois, USC, Texas and Miami. He made unofficial visits to all but Miami and his only official visit was USC before Cooper made a commitment to the Buckeyes. “I just felt like Ohio State is a great place for me to get better going against top DB’s everyday,” Cooper said. “I’m excited, I’m pumped up. “Coach (Brian) Hartline is a fantastic coach. He played in the NFL and he can help me get better. Coach Kee(nan Bailey) too. And coach (Ryan) Day talked to me about three times a week.
