Buckeyes set Big Ten Distinguished Scholars record for 2018-19

Ohio State is once again setting records and leading the way in the Big Ten. Not just in the sports stadiums and arenas but in the classroom as well. On Tuesday, the Big Ten announced the 2018-19 Distinguished Scholars list. The Buckeyes set a new school record — surpassing the 129 Distinguished Scholars from last year — and for the fourth consecutive year had the most Distinguished Scholars in the conference. Some names Ohio State fans might recognize to receive the Distinguished Scholars recognition are men’s basketball guard Joey Lane, who graduated from Ohio State University this past year, as well as football walk-ons in linebacker Logan Hittle, running back Amari McMahon, punter Jake Metzer and long snapper Bradley Robinson.
