If there’s one thing that’s certain about college football, it’s that coaches will come and go. Starting from interns and graduate assistants, the idea for any coach is to work his or her way up to become a position coach, a coordinator, an assistant and then eventually a head coach. That is no different at Ohio State. While the Buckeyes are one of the top places for coaches to work in college football, assistant coaches often still use it as a springboard for job advancement if they do a good job with the Scarlet and Gray. The examples are abundant around both college football and the NFL and that’s not likely to change any time soon.
