Ohio State starting QB decision on the horizon

COLUMBUS —  Ohio State football coach Ryan Day did not name a starting quarterback Wednesday, but he is getting closer.  “I think probably what we’re going to do is get through the weekend and then on Monday probably make a final decision, but guys are competing really well.”  >>RELATED: Offensive line looking deep now and in the future Day also provided a strong hint as to why he has a timeframe in mind now as opposed to the last time he met with reporters.  “Justin is practicing at a high level now,” Day said, referring Georgia transfer Justin Fields. “He’s had a nice couple of really good days here.”  Since Fields announced he would be a Buckeye, both of the scholarship quarterbacks behind 2018 starter Dwayne Haskins left Ohio State via transfer.
