
BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – As Ohio State football receiver Chris Olave glided underneath his 37-yard touchdown reception in Saturday’s 51-10 victory over Indiana, Hoosiers cornerback Reece Taylor trailed a few steps behind. Nine seconds earlier, before Buckeyes quarterback Justin Fields took that second-quarter snap, Taylor was already toast. He did not know it yet, but Olave did. “I motioned in and the safety came down, so the corner was just sitting there,” Olave said. “I kind of hit his hands down and ran right past him. “We see it pre-snap and we react to it post-snap.” If that scene looked familiar, the same scene played out two weeks earlier against Florida Atlantic for a 29-yard touchdown. Fields went up over the top to hit the speedy Olave burning an opposing defensive back. Fields targeted Olave a team-high five times Saturday, connecting on three of them for 70 yards and that touchdown.…
