Former Ohio State basketball assistant Greg Paulus named Niagara’s permanent head coach: Buckeye Breakfast


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Just weeks after being named the interim head coach, Niagara has announced that former Ohio State assistant coach Greg Paulus has been named as its permanent head coach. Paulus was placed in an interim role following the sudden resignation of Patrick Beilein who was set to begin his first year with the program. The former Syracuse quarterback and Duke basketball player served on the Buckeyes staff under Thad matta from 2011-16. His role began as a video coordinator before being promoted to assistant coach in 2013. This will be his first job as a full-time head coach in college basketball. Niagara will open its season on Friday at Drexel.
