Former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins named Washington Redskins’ starter for remainder of the season


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State football star Dwayne Haskins has been named the Washington Redskins’ starting quarterback for the rest of the 2019 season. Interim Head Coach Bill Callahan announced the decision during his Monday press conference. Haskins was the team’s No. 15 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft after throwing for a school-record 4,841 yards and 50 touchdowns. He led the Buckeyes to a 13-1 record with wins in the Big Ten Championship and the Rose Bowl in his lone season as a starter. The former Buckeye has seen action in three games this season for the Redskins and got his first start in a 24-9 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Nov. 3. He’s thrown for 284 yards while completing 27 of 44 passes this season. He has yet to throw his first touchdown pass and has four interceptions. Washington will be looking for its second win…
