
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State basketball team has moved up to No. 16 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll after the first week of the season. The Buckeyes won their first two games of the season at home against Cincinnati and UMass Lowell. They are one of three Big Ten teams in the rankings in week two along with No. 3 Michigan State and No. 7 Maryland. The Spartans dropped following a loss to the new No. 1 team Kentucky — who received all but one first-place vote — to open up the season while the Terrapins are 2-0. New to the top 25 this week are No. 20 Washington and No. 25 Colorado. Baylor took the biggest drop in the second rankings going from No. 16 to No. 24 after splitting its first two games.
