
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jeff Hafley’s tenure as Ohio State football’s co-defensive coordinator will only last one season as he has reportedly been hired as Boston College’s next head coach. According to Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel, Boston College is close to finalizing an agreement with Hafley after just one season back in college football. He spent the previous seven seasons as an NFL assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers. This would be his first job as a head coach. In his lone season with the Buckeyes, he oversaw a secondary that was second in the nation in passing yards allowed per game at 148.1 and recorded 15 interceptions this season.
