Ohio State football’s Brendon White enters name in transfer portal: Report


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football safety Brendon White has entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple reports. White has recorded 19 tackles in 11 games this season. He conspicuously did not make the trip to Indianapolis for the Big Ten championship game last weekend. Ohio State coach Ryan Day said White’s absence was due to “personal reasons” and that he planned to talk with the Olentangy Liberty grad this week. White had a significant role with Ohio State in 2018, recording 45 tackles (four for loss) with one interception. He was the Rose Bowl Defensive MVP in the Buckeyes’ win over Washington after recording seven tackles (two for loss). However, when Ohio State switched a single-high safety defense in 2019, White’s role was minimized.
