
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Since his arrival in 2017, Ryan Day has started to make a name for himself as a quarterback developer for Ohio State football. That started with J.T. Barrett in his final year as the Buckeyes starting quarterback. But also trickled down to Dwayne Haskins who’s record-breaking 2018 turned him into a first-round draft pick. That room also included Joe Burrow who would later transfer to LSU after losing out to Haskins. There he blossomed into the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner. When Justin Fields transferred to Ohio State, Day’s ability to develop quarterbacks played a major role. n 12 months Fields was a Heisman finalist and in position to win a National Championship in a season where he’s thrown 40 touchdown passes and just one interception.
