AP All-America football team 2019: Ohio State lands nation-best 7 players; Chase Young, Wyatt Davis, Jeff Okudah first-teamers


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football team placed three players on The Associated Press All-America first team released today, joining LSU as the only schools to do so. Buckeyes defensive end Chase Young made the first team, and he was joined by guard Wyatt Davis and cornerback Jeff Okudah. The No. 2-ranked Buckeyes also had the most players named with seven players selected to the three All-America teams, including quarterback Justin Fields, who made the second team. OSU running back J.K. Dobbins also cracked the second team; and guard Jonah Jackson joined linebacker Malik Harrison on the third team. A former Buckeye, LSU’s Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow, highlights the first-team offense. The No. 1 Tigers also had receiver Ja’Marr Chase and cornerback Derek Stingley on the first team.
