Ohio State football’s Jeremy Ruckert and other tight ends capitalizing on limited highlight opportunities


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jeremy Ruckert may never turn in a more impressive catch than his one-handed grab in the back of the end zone in the Big Ten championship game against Wisconsin. When ranking the most impressive one-handed touchdown catches by a Buckeye tight end in 2019, though, the sophomore deferred to one of his elders. Someone reminded him of a similar snag junior Luke Ruckert made against Rutgers. “It was contested, right in the corner, had to sneak his feet in bounds,” Ruckert said. “So I think that one might have got mine.” In the days following that catch, it rolled through Ruckert’s social media feed frequently.
