
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Ohio State is the only Power five school in the state of Ohio and most athletes grow up dreaming of playing for the Buckeyes one day. Playing for your home school isn’t a foreign concept, but there are also those who’d rather take the opportunity to get away from home. Jackson Carmen took that route in 2018 when he chose Clemson over the Buckeyes. Now he’s won 28-straight wins, a national championship and back-to-back trips to the College Football Playoff. “It was a tough decision for him to make but part of him wanted to get away,” Carmen’s high school coach Jason Krause told cleveland.com. “That’s just the personality that he is.
