COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s early enrollees included a more veteran arrival along with 14 incoming freshmen. Former Southern Methodist tight end Corey Rau has joined the Buckeyes as a walk-on graduate transfer. The 6-3, 260-pound Rau played in six career games with SMU without recording a reception. He announced his entry to the transfer portal last August. Rau was an American Athletic Conference All-Academic selection. Per the 247 Sports consensus, Rau was a three-star prospect out of Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, Texas, ranked 1,276th nationally.
