COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football has to land a top ten running back in its 2021 class after failing to do so in either 2019 or 2020. The five below give them the best chance to do that as things stand to head into the February dead period. As we wrap up our series on Ohio State football’s top running back targets, we explore the Buckeyes chances to land each of the five. Will Shipley, Weddington High School Shipley is the highest-ranked player of the group, but he is also the only one not listed as an actual running back. Landing him gives OSU versatility as he leans more towards wanting to be an H-back with the ability to run in between the tackles from time-to-time.
