Ohio State football will complete 2020 signing class with Cameron Martinez: Buckeye Breakfast


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The addition of the early December signing period for college football has diminished the importance of traditional February signing period. For example, Ohio State football expects to sign only one player Wednesday at the start of the regular period: Muskegon, Michigan, athlete Cameron Martinez. That signing was originally expected to happen in December along with the other 24 signatures the Buckeyes received for their 2020 class. After co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach Jeff Hafley left to become head coach at Boston College, Martinez opted to hold off on signing until February. The four-star prospect is expected to play defensive back at Ohio State. More than half of the incoming 2020 class is already on campus as early enrollees.
