COLUMBUS, Ohio — In his first season as Ohio State football’s official wide receivers coach, Brian Hartline put together a recruiting haul that earned him the honor of 247Sports National Recruiter of the Year. Hartline contributed four top-100 receivers to Ohio State’s 2020 recruiting class, which was ranked fifth nationally and first in the Big Ten. He adds the four to a room that includes only two players that had major roles last season in Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. That four-man group is headlined by the nation’s top receiver in Julian Fleming of Southern Columbia High School in Pennsylvania. Fleming is ranked as the third-best player in the class. Jaxon Smith-Njigba of Rockwall (Texas) High School is the second of three five-star recruits in the class. He is rated as the No. 28 overall player and the No. 5 wide receiver.
