
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball does not have a signature win in the Big Ten. A 61-58 road win over Michigan is probably its most impressive win in conference play, but the Wolverines were trending downward, having lost four of six heading into that contest. They have since rebounded, but that is not as impressive a “best win” as it could be. A triumph over Maryland on Sunday afternoon would be just that. The Terrapins (22-4, 12-3 in conference) are No. 7 in the country, have won nine straight games, and are closing in on the regular-season Big Ten title. Their resume suggests that the Buckeyes (17-9, 7-8) face a very challenging matchup, especially if they stumble as badly in the first half as they did against Iowa.
