
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State basketball team has moved up to No. 23 in the new Associated Press Top 25 Poll following a 1-1 week. The Buckeyes followed up an 85-76 road loss to No. 18 Iowa with its best win of the season, taking down then-No. 7 Maryland 79-72 at home. It is the fourth time this season that the Buckeyes have beaten a team ranked in the top 10 when they’ve played them. They are one of six Big Ten teams ranked this week with the No. 9 Terrapins being the highest-ranked team in the conference. Others include No. 16 Penn State, No. 19 Michigan and No. 24 Michigan State. Ohio State will face the Wolverines next Sunday and close out its season against the Spartans.
