COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State football star Chase Young has little to prove at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the defensive end will not take part in skill drills for scouts, coaches and front office personnel. Instead, Young will undergo medical testing and participate in interviews with NFL teams. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Young will participate in position drills during Ohio State’s pro day. That date has not yet been announced. Young has long been expected to go to Washington with the No. 2 pick in April’s NFL Draft after Cincinnati selects LSU quarterback (and former Buckeye) Joe Burrow No. 1. At worst, if Washington trades out of that pick, Young is considered a no-brainer pick for the first team that does not need a quarterback.
