COLUMBUS, Ohio — Keyshawn Woods only played one season for Ohio State basketball after spending the first four years of his career at Charlotte and Wake Forrest, and it took him some time to find his footing. In 31 regular-season games, he averaged 7.1 points but shot just 39.7 percent from the field and 28.4 percent from three-point range. But when the Big Ten Tournament came around, he turned himself into the Buckeyes’ go-to player on the perimeter perfectly complementing Kaleb Wesson’s inside presence. In four games between the Big Ten and NCAA Tournament, he averaged 15.8 points on 52.1 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three. Woods was why the Buckeyes’ secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament and why they upset the Big 12 Tournament Champions Iowa State in the first round.
