COLUMBUS, Ohio — Kyle Young has officially been ruled out for Ohio State basketball’s matchup with Nebraska tonight. The junior forward was listed as a game-time decision after suffering a high right ankle sprain in Sunday’s 79-72 win over Maryland. It will be the third game he’s missed this season, and the Buckeyes are 0-2 without him. He is averaging 7.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Young could have provided an opportunity for Alonzo Gaffney to be a part of the rotation with Ohio State short on bodies. Now that role with fall entirely on the shoulders of E.J. Liddell. Gaffney will also miss tonight’s game with an illness. Liddell is averaging 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds off the bench this season.
