Michigan can’t get stop down stretch, loses at Ohio State again


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Once again, the Wolverines left Columbus disappointed. Michigan’s losing streak at Ohio State continued into its sixth year on Sunday after a 77-63 defeat. The game was tied with 6:30 left but the Buckeyes caught fire from there, missing just two shots over the final eight minutes. Franz Wagner led Michigan with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Zavier Simpson, coming off a career game, added 12 points and seven assists. He and classmate Jon Teske, both seniors and Ohio natives, won in every Big Ten building except Value City Arena. The Wolverines fell to 18-11 and 9-9 in the Big Ten, tied for eighth place with Rutgers. Ohio State moved to 20-9 (10-8), having swept the season series against their rival.
