Who stood out on offense in Ohio State football’s first practice of the spring?


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Spring practice is under way for the Ohio State football team, which provided the first chance Monday to see an offense that has the potential to be more explosive than its Big Ten-best 46.9 points per game of 2019. That starts at the wide receiver position that returns two of its three best players while also adding four top-100 players from a freshman recruiting class that is the fifth-best in the country. Many players in that wide receiver room flashed at times in the first practice, showing what may be in store in the fall. The wide receiver corps will be an upgrade from last season and will be paired with a potential Heisman Trophy quarterback in Justin Fields and one of the country’s best offensive lines, which returns three starters.
