
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State will close all athletic facilities and hold no spring practices through at least April 6 as part of the latest series of measures related to precautions over the global coronavirus pandemic. Athletes have been asked to move out of their lockers by 5 p.m. Monday. OSU is encouraging them to remain at home and complete their academic work through distance learning. The university has already canceled in-person instruction through the end of the academic year. Athletes living in residence halls must move their belongings out by March 22. Those living off campus will not have access to OSU athletic facilities. Athletes can work out on their own at home, but cannot organize workouts with teammates at OSU facilities.
