
CLEMSON, South Carolina — Clemson football’s highly ranked 2021 recruiting class took a hit Tuesday when defensive end Korey Foreman — the consensus No. 1 prospect — rescinded his commitment. Grace Raynor of The Athletic first reported the development. She said distance from home was a factor for Foreman, a California native. Foreman had been committed to the Tigers since Jan. 26. The 6-4, 265-pound end took over the top spot in the 247 Sports national composite last Aug. 29. Foreman held an Ohio State offer prior to his commitment to Clemson. Georgia, Oregon and USC were reported as his other finalists. If geography is a factory, the Trojans and Ducks would presumably be prominent suitors again.
