
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Austin Mack persevered to establish himself as a productive role player in Ohio State’s explosive offense. The New York Giants are reportedly giving Mack a chance to do the same in the NFL. Jeremy Birmingham of Lettermen Row reported that Mack is joining the Giants as an unrestricted free agent — as is fellow Buckeye receiver Binjimen Victor. The 6-1, 208-pound Mack ran a 4.59-second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. He never put up big production at OSU, especially relative to expectations after coming in as a four-star, top-75 prospect from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mack set career highs for receptions (27), yards (361) and touchdowns (three) as a senior in 2019.
