Ohio State football’s pass rush and secondary must help each other in 2020: Buckeye Takes


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The stars of Ohio State football’s stellar 2019 defense stood alone in separate spotlights. Jeff Okudah silently locking down half of the field at cornerback. Damon Arnette making enough noise for two while doing the same on the other side of the field. Chase Young mauling in the backfield like an outtake from when Joe Exotic left a cage open. All three are gone, as is Jordan Fuller at the back end of the defense. Three NFL-bound defensive backs and the most prolific pass rusher in Ohio State history headed out the door together. The Buckeyes return less than 38 percent of their 2019 sacks total and less than half of their interceptions.
