
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football program had a loud spring while the rest of college football was figuring out how to adapt to an extended recruiting moratorium that has been extended three times, now running through July 31. The Buckeyes landed seven commits in 37 days while claiming what looked to be a permanent seat a the top of the recruiting rankings. They were competing with history, trying to be the highest-rated class of all time. Some of that steam has worn off while the rest of the country starts to find success on the recruiting trail. Clemson has bounced back from losing the nation’s best player in defensive end Korey Foreman by landing commitments from five-star running back Will Shipley along with four-stars Barrett Carter, Jordan Hancock and Troy Stellato.
