Having veteran LBs mitigates missing most of spring for Buckeyes

Despite losing outside linebacker Malik Harrison who was a third-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, Ohio State will have one of the most-veteran linebacking corps in college football in 2020. The two returning starters — middle linebacker Tuf Borland and outside linebacker Pete Werner — are both seniors (Borland is a fifth-year senior). Furthermore, senior Baron Browning rotated with Borland much of last season and might play more on the outside this year (and could also play some defensive end). Also, one of the top backups is expected to be sixth-year senior Justin Hilliard, who came on toward the end of last season. Even some of Ohio State’s linebackers who fans might think of as “young” aren’t quite that young any longer.
