COLUMBUS, Ohio — The monster non-conference matchup some Ohio State fans have longed for is less than a decade away from reality. Ohio State announced Thursday it has scheduled a home-and-home series with Alabama for 2027-28. Ohio Stadium will host on Sept. 18, 2027, and the Buckeyes will travel to Tuscaloosa on Sept. 9, 2028. “We’d like to thank University of Alabama Director of Athletics Greg Byrne and Senior Deputy Director of Athletics Finus Gaston, who worked so hard with us to get this series scheduled,” Ohio State Deputy Director of Athletics Diana Sabau said in a news release. “Building a non-conference schedule with tradition-rich programs is important to the competitive excellence of our program and the department, and it is great for our fans.
