The Basketball Tournament has become the place for former college stars not playing in the NBA to return to the court in the United States and play in front of their families and fans again. Like in AAU, the TBT allows friends and old teammates to play together once more, forming a number of alumni teams. Ohio State has its official alumni team in Carmen’s Crew, the defending champions who began competing in the TBT in 2017. This is a group of older Buckeyes who are closer to the end of their careers than they are college. But this spring, it looked like a new Ohio State alumni team was beginning to form, with a more recently-graduated roster, perhaps ready to take the mantle from Carmen’s Crew.
