Computer model projects Penn State's 2020 win total

The SportsLine computer model is predicting a fifth-straight regular season of nine or more wins for Penn State. According to figures released earlier this week, SportsLine projects the Nittany Lions to win 9.2 games and lose 2.8 contests. If that sounds a bit confusing, keep in mind that SportsLine developed those figures by simulating “every FBS college football game 10,000 times.” Penn State came up with the nation’s 10th-best record in the model (and the second-best record in the Big Ten). The 9.2 wins for James Franklin’s Nittany Lions vary only slightly from the general consensus among reputable sports books, which is 9.5.
