Ohio State football’s junior linebackers must begin making impact in 2020: Buckeye Take


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Turns out, one of the critical virtues for developing into an Ohio State football linebacker is patience. At least it turned out that way for the three Buckeye linebackers in the junior class. Which is not to say Dallas Gant, Teradja Mitchell and K’Vaughn Pope have settled for support roles the past two seasons. Their names came up frequently prior last August when teammates were asked who had impressed them during preseason camp. However, those three reserves played fewer snaps combined than anyone from the group of Tuf Borland, Baron Browning and Peter Werner played on his own, according to the Eleven Warriors tracker. Those three seniors remain projected to begin the 2020 season as Ohio State’s starting linebacker corps. Gant, Mitchell and Pope may have little chance to unset any member of that senior trio.
