Christie’s mother, Katrina Hannaford Christie, was a 1,000-point scorer during her college career at Northwestern (1993-97), and coach Chris Collins had hoped that might give the Wildcats an in. Christie is also close with Patrick Baldwin Jr., the No. 2 prospect in the nation, whom Collins also is pursuing.
