For the past two seasons, the Buckeyes have played a game in St. John Arena. But there’s no game slated in the historic arena this season, and it doesn’t sound like they’ll be any more in the near future, either. Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith, in an interview with Buckeye Sports Bulletin, said that there are no plans for the team to return to St. John Arena for a game in the foreseeable future, citing fewer home games than previous years. “I think it was just a special occasion,” Smith told BSB. “I doubt we’ll go back. I just don’t see it. This year, I think we have 16 home games.
