Becoming a captain at Ohio State is an honor for any Buckeye player. While it is not the only way to lead the football team, it is a recognition by teammates and coaches that you deserve that title of leader. The Scarlet and Gray have three returning captains in 2020: linebacker Tuf Borland, defensive end Jonathon Cooper and wide receiver C.J. Saunders — assuming the NCAA approves his appeal for a sixth year of eligibility — all seniors. But Ohio State will add to that list by appointing a few more new captains to complement the incumbent leaders.
