
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The COVID-19 pandemic has affected sports and other pockets of life since March, and now with the fall ahead, Virginia high school football players don’t currently have a season to anticipate. The Virginia High School League announced Wednesday that football won’t be played in the fall, according to the Virginian-Pilot. The VHSL has three potential alternatives, but none will include football in its traditional season. The decision on which plan to use is expected to happen July 27. The absence of fall football affects 2021 five-star OSU commit TreVeyon Henderson. Slated to be an early enrollee, he won’t have any senior season tape. In the same predicament is five-star offensive tackle Tristan Leigh, who is expected to enroll early wherever he commits.
