COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football has three commits in its 2022 recruiting class and each saw significant movement in the updated 247Sports rankings. The class is still without a composite ranking — mainly because of a lack of camps this summer to provide any evaluation — but the updated rankings makes C.J. Hicks the highest-rated commit. Now classified as a linebacker, Hicks moved up 61 spots to No. 101 and is the No. 8 outside linebacker in the class. Hicks is one of the many linebackers the Buckeyes are expected to target in the class. He’s followed by defensive back Jyaire Brown who recently moved back to West Chester, Ohio after spending most of his life in New Orleans.
