Alabama is Ohio State football’s biggest threat to making recruiting history in 2021: Buckeye Take


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Alabama has awakened on the 2021 recruiting trail after landing the nation’s top center and offensive tackle in brothers Tommy and James Brockermeyer of All Saints Episcopal in Tyler, Texas. Tommy — the No. 5 player in the country — gave the Crimson Tide a third commit from a five-star player, putting them one behind Ohio State. The Buckeyes and Bama are the only schools with more than one five-star commitment. James Brockermeyer is nation’s No. 188 player and a four-star recruit. Alabama hasn’t finished outside the top five in the recruiting rankings since 2007. Only twice — 2010 and 2018 — have they not been first or second.
