
Six of seven central Ohio counties around Columbus have now been designated at Level 3 of the state’s four-level, color-coded public health advisory response system to the coronavirus pandemic. Delaware, Licking and Union counties on Thursday joined Franklin, Fairfield and Pickaway counties in the state’s Level 3, or “red” designation, which means “very high exposure and spread” and a recommendation that residents “limit activities as much as possible.” Madison County is the only central Ohio county not in the red designation. It is still in the Level 2 orange designation that notes there is “increased exposure” and residents should “exercise high caution” if out and about. Face masks or coverings are mandatory inside businesses and public places and outside in crowded areas where there are crowds in Level 3 red-designated counties and in Level 4 purple-coded counties.
