
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Kerry Coombs continues to make his mark during his second tenure with Ohio State football, this time as defensive coordinator. His latest work is landing four-star cornerback Jordan Hancock of North Gwinnett High School in Georgia, who recently became the second player to decommit from Clemson’s 2021 recruiting class. His addition puts the Buckeyes’ class back at 19 commits, back above the 300-point threshold at 305.37 points while giving the secondary five incoming players. OSU’s average star rating is 94.93. The Buckeyes’ cornerback recruiting went askew for three-straight recruiting cycles. It’s been unable to bring in a top-100 cornerback since Jeff Okudah and Shaun Wade in 2017.
